Client records organize documents, integrations, Year-End Close work, and access permissions. You can create a client from the Swiss commercial register, enter the details manually, or import customers from M-Files.

Create a client from Clients

  1. Open Clients.
  2. Select Create Client.
  3. Enter the client name. For a Swiss business, enter at least three characters to search active Zefix companies.
  4. Select the correct Zefix result, or continue with manual entry.
  5. Review Basic Information and choose the client Visibility.
  6. Add any available contact, address, and business details.
  7. Select Create.

The client opens on Client Info after it is created. Check the imported details before starting an engagement, especially the legal form, reporting language, addresses, and dates.

Choose the client type and details

New records default to the Business client type. Depending on the client, you can also set the language, legal entity type, incorporation date, industry, primary contact, addresses, and other business details.

Only the name is needed to start a manual client record. Missing details can be added later from Client Info.

Set visibility

Choose All members when everyone in your organization should have access. Choose Limited when only selected staff members should see the client.

The client owner retains access, and organization administrators can access all clients. For the complete permission model, see Manage client permissions.

Import clients from M-Files

When an administrator has configured M-Files:

  1. Open Clients.
  2. Open Import and choose M-Files.
  3. Select the customers you want to add.
  4. Confirm the import.

Didyma creates business clients linked to the selected M-Files customer identifiers. Customers that are already linked are excluded from the import list.

Connecting M-Files at organization level does not automatically create or link every client. See Connect M-Files for the full setup.
