The Import step loads the source accounts and amounts for the current and comparative period. The available methods depend on the integrations enabled for the organization and linked to the client.

Choose a source

Open the financial statement and start at Import. Choose a linked accounting system when it appears, or select the file-import option.

Before importing, confirm that the statement’s reporting period matches the accounting data. Imports use current and prior-period information so the resulting statement can show comparative figures.

Import from Abacus

For a linked Abacus mandant, Didyma can retrieve the configured data for the current and previous period. The available operations depend on the organization’s Abacus settings and the client link.

For a file import, provide a balance-sheet and income-statement export that covers both years. You can also provide one F15 journal export for each fiscal year when journal data is needed.

If Abacus is not available as a direct source, check both parts of the setup: the organization connection and the client’s mandant link. See Set up Abacus.

Import from Bexio

For a linked Bexio organization, Didyma retrieves current and comparative accounting data. Depending on the connected data and selected import, this can include the chart of accounts, account groups, journal entries, and open items.

If authorization has expired, reconnect Bexio and retry. The Bexio user must have accounting access and accounting must be enabled for the organization. See Connect Bexio.

Import from files

For a general file import, supply the balance-sheet and income-statement data for both the current and prior year. Journal files for the current and prior period are optional when the workflow does not require transaction-level data.

Use exports from the same accounting ledger and check that account numbers, currency, period boundaries, and signs are consistent. Avoid combining reports generated at different closing states.

Check the result

After import, review the extracted account list, currency, and both period values. Verification provides this review when that step is enabled. Then continue to CoA Mapping.

Do not treat a successful upload or connection as evidence that the accounting data is complete. Reconcile imported totals to the approved source reports before continuing. See Understand the statement steps.
