Upload and organize documents
Add files and folders to a client workspace, handle conflicts, and reuse documents in Year-End Close.
The client document workspace keeps engagement files available across Didyma. Files in the workspace can be used in Year-End Close, attached as checklist evidence, and added to a compliance pack.
Upload files or folders
- Open the client and go to Documents.
- Use the Upload documents for the financial statement flow area, or open Actions.
- Choose Upload Files or Upload Folder. You can also drag files into the workspace.
- Confirm the destination folder and any choices Didyma presents.
A folder upload preserves the folder structure. You can also paste files into the workspace; Didyma asks you to confirm the client and destination before uploading them.
Use Actions > New Folder to create a structure before uploading. A simple year-and-engagement structure makes supporting evidence easier to find later.
Resolve duplicate names
When a destination already contains a file with the same name, choose the appropriate action:
- Skip keeps the existing file and does not upload the duplicate.
- Rename uploads a separate copy with a different name.
- Overwrite replaces the existing file.
Choose Overwrite only after confirming that the new file is the intended version. Didyma may also offer Downsize or Continue for a large file.
Workspace Files and Client Uploads
Workspace Files are the working documents your team organizes and reuses in Didyma.
Client Uploads are read-only incoming files. You can download them or move them into the workspace before using them in the engagement structure.
When M-Files is connected
An M-Files-linked client can store documents through M-Files. During upload, Didyma may ask for a document type or class and the required or optional M-Files properties.
Folder upload is not available for M-Files storage. Upload the files and supply the requested metadata instead. A client that is not linked to an M-Files customer continues to use Didyma’s standard document storage even when M-Files is configured for the organization.
See Connect M-Files for administrator setup and client linking.
Download or remove workspace content
Use Actions > Download All when you need a local copy of the workspace. Delete All removes all workspace content, so check the selected client and confirm that required engagement evidence is retained elsewhere before using it.
Use documents in a statement
Once the files are organized, open Create a financial statement. During Checklists, attach relevant evidence from the workspace. In Finalize, add the required supporting documents to the compliance pack.
