Connect Bexio
Authorize Bexio for a client, import accounting data, and manage read-only access.
Bexio is connected per client. There is no separate organization-wide Bexio configuration card to complete before linking a client.
Requirements
Use a Bexio user who can access the correct organization and its accounting data. Accounting must be enabled in Bexio, and the user must have the necessary accounting permission. Successful OAuth authorization alone does not grant missing Bexio accounting access.
Connect from Client Info
- Open the client and go to Client Info.
- Open Integrations.
- Select Add Link, then Bexio.
- Complete the Bexio sign-in and authorization in the popup window.
- Return to Didyma and confirm that the connection is shown.
- Enable Read-only when the connection should allow imports but block posting.
You can also begin in a financial statement’s Import step and choose Connect Bexio.
If you can access multiple Bexio organizations
The current connection flow does not present an organization picker in Didyma. It links the first organization returned for the authorized Bexio user. After connecting, verify that the linked organization is the intended legal entity before importing.
If the wrong organization is linked, remove the connection and use a Bexio account whose available organization resolves to the correct entity, or contact your Didyma administrator or support team before proceeding.
Import accounting data
Open the client’s financial statement and choose Bexio in Import. Didyma retrieves current and comparative accounting data. Depending on the available Bexio data and import, this may include the chart of accounts, account groups, journal entries, and open items.
Reconcile the imported totals to the approved Bexio reports and confirm the reporting periods before continuing to CoA Mapping. See Import financial data.
Reauthorize or remove the link
If the authorization has expired, reconnect Bexio and retry the import. When a client should no longer use the connection, open its integration settings and remove the link.
Removing the link stops future access through that connection. It does not replace the need to retain and document the source reports used for a completed engagement.
Troubleshooting
- Allow the authorization popup and complete it in the same browser session.
- Confirm that the Bexio user can open the organization’s accounting area directly in Bexio.
- If the wrong organization links, do not import; resolve the organization selection first.
- If an import fails after previously working, reauthorize the connection and retry.
